"Coffee and Daisies" won first place in the Fine Art America juried contest THE GALLERY WALL Group - STILL LIFE - ALL MEDIUMS March 31, 2015.
A wonderful way to start your morning ... delicious Colombian coffee served in translucent Lenox china. Add fresh daisies, and you're sure to have a beautiful day.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... wall art of this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Beautifully done, Lois. Sometimes, to cheer myself up, I wander through contests in which I am not participating, just to see the beauty on display. This made my day. Maria
Lois Bryan replied:
Dear Maria, thank you ... I love art ... photography ... water colors ... oils, acrylics ... all of it ... it always gives me great joy to explore as well. I'm truly honored that one of my little images gave you a smile!! If you could have seen me the three mornings I spent on this and a few others that I've posted here, you'd be more than smiling ... probably laughing right out loud!!! Still life composition is a puzzle ... add in the light, the reflections, the melting whipped cream (the coffee had to be drunk and black substituted!!) ... but it was worth it!!! Thank you so much for your lovely words ... now you've made my day!!!!

LOOK! ...LISTEN!...HEAR!.... the many comments FEEL the ELEGANCE of Fine Art!....when terms like: composition, Light, sepia tone, still life, beauty, outstanding artwork ...are used, Therein lies FINE ART!! When one considers an artist’s eye begins in the the eyes of one’s heArt, passes thru a soulful lens, thru the anatomical lens of one’s eye, and perhaps through several other “external”( nonetheless equally discerning) lenses ...to pass thru space...to connect to a viewer’s multiple lenses...??? Is there ANYthing along the path but the Aesthetic of Beauty remaining?? Lois, your body of Artistic work has long given me and countless viewers such treasures... and, in a CUP and SAUCER??...with FLOWERS.?? I am lost in the treasure of Beauty and thank you for offering it’s gaze...I will return it with a VOTE, l/F truly, Fine Art Photography!
Lois Bryan replied:
Laurel, I read your note at one of those points where I couldn't get back to respond ... but your lovely thoughts have stayed with me. I can't thank you enough for your kindness. I'm smiling to think you know about that wonderful, ethereal connection too. It's magical, isn't it? I used to wander online museums (when I couldn't get to the real thing!) ... escape into the worlds of the greats. To think that someone as talented as yourself felt a connection with my little coffee and daisies ... is an honor I truly cherish. Thank you so much!!!
